Web Sites That Work
I have been designing and building web sites since 2000. I'm a web developer.I revisit web sites that work so I build web sites that work so that people will revisit your web site. I work with people to develop a plan that includes "why" they need a web site, how it will help their business, and how we'll work together. I've primarily worked with art organizations, nonprofit organizations, and owner-operated small businesses. I build web sites using:
- a Mac G5 and/or a Windows laptop
- with Dreamweaver and/or Crimson Editor
- to create HTML and XHTML web pages
- including CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to present text and images consistently throughout web sites.
- I use Adobe Photoshop and ImageReady to create and manipulate images.
- I build databases in MySQL, SQL Server, and/or MS Access.
- Finally, I use PHP or ColdFusion to create web pages that interact with the database (Ok, if I have to, I use ASP).
- This summer I began working with XML as another way to maintain consistency and ease-of-maintenance across web sites.
I have built tools such as online databases (contact databases, project databases, inventory databases), message boards, and web pages that can easily be updated from any browser.
Simply, I design and build websites that work.
Here are some examples of my work:
